Most of us who receive mail at the Waterside Village mail kiosk have assumed that if we skip a few days and don't check our mailbox, the carrier will either "hold" the mail or send it to the main post office in Lake Worth where it must be picked up. Not true!
The office has learned that if people do not check their mail for a few days and the box gets full, the carrier sends all your mail BACK TO THE SENDER! If you cannot check your mail regularly, you should arrange for a neighbor to get it for you in your absence OR notify the post office to hold mail at the post office if you will be out of town for more than 2 days.
Also, persons who spend part of the year up north and part here in Florida must arrange to have their mail forwarded both times: before leaving from the north and before leaving Florida. This must be done through the post office using their standard form. Do not just "leave a note" for the postal carrier.
Also: Please, never use the office address 132 Waterside Drive for your personal mail, even if you add your unit number. Postal carrier will not deliver your mail to you and the office does not want your mail!
Thank you,
