POLICY CONCERNING ANY ALTERATIONS, ADDITIONS, REPAIRS OR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE COMMON ELEMENTS OR LIMITED COMMON ELEMENTS IN WATERSIDE VILLAGE

This notice is a reminder that any alterations, additions repairs or improvements to the common elements or the limited common elements, contemplated by a unit owner cannot be undertaken without first obtaining written approval from the Board of Directors of the Association.

Such request should be made in writing to the management of the association  and should contain the necessary information including the name of a licenced, bonded insured general contractor and when needed the City of Hypoluxo's permit.

You are reminded to review chapter x of the Declaration of Condominium of Waterside Village, dealing with Maintenance, Alterations and Improvment and the responsability of the Unit Owner.

For additional information, contact the office.

Board of Directors.

CONTRACTOR  REQUIREMENTS

The following items  must  be  submitted with all modification requests and the following guidelines must be followed:

1)     Copy of Contractors license from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, State of Florida.
2)     Copy of Contractors Insurance Certificate with both Liability and Workman’s Compensation.
3)     Building Permit from the Town of Hypoluxo.
4)     Copy of the Contract to include the scope of the work and a time line.
5)     IMPORTANT: All contractors  must remove all materials from the premises at the end of each work day. People have been treating the area by the trash compactor as a city dump. We find hot water heaters, bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, mirrors, toilets, all types of furniture and appliances dumped back there. It takes a great deal of our maintenance staffs’ time to load this into the dumpster and it fills it up in 1 day. We pay for dumping by the weight and this practice is costing the association inflated dumping fees. Removing these items IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR.
