Coyote Sightings on the Property — Please Stay Alert and Keep Pets Safe
Dear Waterside Village Residents,
We want to make you aware that there have been two recent sightings of coyotes on the property. Please be mindful of your surroundings, especially at night.
To keep your pets safe, please keep dogs on leashes at all times, do not leave cats outside overnight, and never tie your pets outside. Please also avoid leaving bowls of food or water outdoors, as these can attract coyotes.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), if you encounter a coyote while walking, make as much noise as you can while slowly backing away. Pick up your pet, wave your arms, and yell to scare the animal off.
There have been multiple sightings around the county recently. If you see a coyote or anything of concern, please report it to the office right away.
Thank you for being such a wonderful and watchful community!
